Welcome to IPV4 Online, we provide companies with the means to meet their growing need for IPv4 addresses as they slowly begin to prepare to switch to IPv6. Our mission is to facilitate transactions between the holders of remaining IPv4 address supplies and those who demand them. We specialize in helping you navigate your IT asset sale, providing budget enhancement for the unused or no longer needed IPv4 address space and operating flexibility to the IPv4 address space buyer
Internet protocol is the address numbering scheme to route internet traffic. This is much like the address scheme a postal service uses to route mail or other parcels. In 1981, Internet Protocol Version Four (IPv4) was developed with the capability of servicing 4.3 billion addresses for global internet use. These addresses have depleted at an increasing rate as internet use and its applications have grown rapidly. The number of IPv4 addresses available from Regional Internet Registries (RIR) is approaching zero in the very near future. Internet Protocol Version Six (IPv6) was developed/available in 1998 with much more address space and other enhancements to IPV4. Unfortunately IPV6 is not backward compatible to IPV4 and this has created a demand for IPV4 address space!
